Evergreen Gifts & Evergreen Fun Park…Up North memories happen here!
In 1978, Neal & Carol Holter bought a small gift store along Highway 71 ten miles north of Park Rapids, Minnesota. The Holters renamed the store World of Christmas. For the next 31 years, the Holters provided an outstanding gift shopping experience. Later, they added Evergreen Park, the amusement park area of the business. The first outdoor attraction was the miniature golf course, but shortly after the park added even more attractions like bumper boats, go carts and the iconic Evergreen Express train.
World of Christmas & Evergreen Park became a must-stop for many Park Rapids area visitors. Vacationers came back year-after-year for the family-friendly fun and high quality gifts and souvenirs to help them remember their vacation.
Looking forward to their well-deserved retirement, Neal & Carol sold the businesses to Tom & Barb Atwood in 2009. Tom & Barb are looking forward to providing the same great shopping and family fun experiences that World of Christmas & Evergreen Park have been providing for over 30 years. You will continue to find great gifts for all seasons and all reasons, including a great selection of Christmas-themed items, with new items that will be sure to please the most discerning shopper. Out in the amusement park, guests will find enhancements to their experiences including expanded hours beginning in 2010.
Because the gift store provides so much more than just Christmas-oriented items, the name “Evergreen” will be expanded from the park to include the gift store also. “Evergreen Gifts & Fun Park” is the name that you will see on the signs, but rest assured that you will get all the great experiences you had at World of Christmas , and much, much more!
